Intro to Smart Pools

Smart Pools are a vital tool for creating a healthy, vibrant token ecosystem. Smart Pools use advanced algorithms to automatically manage liquidity positions in response to market conditions. These pools rebalance funds across different price ranges, ensuring liquidity is concentrated where it’s most needed and potentially earning more trading fees than traditional static or manually placed liquidity management. By providing liquidity, you’re:

  1. Better ensuring smooth trades for newcomers
  2. Reducing price impact for larger transactions
  3. Creating a more attractive environment for potential adopters or traders of tokens

 

Powerful Strategies

Smart Pools offers a library of liquidity management strategies, and also empowers users to configure or custom develop their own strategies. Here we will highlight two examples of strategies built by the Smart Pools team!  

Classic Rebalance Strategy: This strategy adapts to market movements, ensuring your liquidity is where it’s needed most. This has been set to a wide range to start to better ensure available liquidity during times of heightened volatility. 

  • Optimizing for fee generation
  • Increasing market efficiency during volatility
  • Reduced slippage for traders, encouraging more activity

Fluid Liquidity Strategy: Ideal for new to market tokens and markets with low levels of liquidity.  This strategy intelligently reshapes the liquidity to meet changing market conditions. Based on the ratio set (in this case 1:1), as the holdings in the vault change the strategy will alter the placement of liquidity and will place limit orders to reestablish the desired ratio of assets. 

  • LPs can better maintain the original ratio of holdings deposited
  • Lower risk of impermanent loss
  • Can minimize drastic price swings

By running multiple strategies, more robust support across various market conditions can be provided.

It’s important to note that impermanent loss (IL) occurs when the price ratio of tokens in a liquidity pool changes, potentially causing LPs to have less value than if they had simply held their tokens. Participating in liquidity pools involves financial risk, including the potential for IL. Past performance of the Smart Pools is not indicative of future results. Market conditions can change rapidly, impacting the performance of liquidity strategies.


How to Become an LP

Ready to support the community? Here’s how:

  1. Connect Your Wallet
  2. Choose Your  Smart Pool
    • Search for your token in the pool finder under a DEX
    • Select one of the Smart Pools 
  3. Deposit Your Tokens
    • Enter the amount of or the paired asset you wish to provide and the amount of the other asset will auto-populate. 
      • If needed, use the built-in swap feature (next to the network dropdown) to obtain the required tokens.
    • Click “Deposit” and confirm the transactions
